save red thread studio

"red thread studio" in downtown virginia is a craft/gallery space that was recently devastated by a fire resulting in a total loss of all inventory. the wonderful erin at "design for mankind" blog has started a fundraising effort for shoppe owner angelia, in hopes of getting the gallery up-and-running once more. i'm passing along this information because i believe independent art and handmade goods are so important to local economies and that all artists + crafters should be able to thrive doing the work they love.

visit "save the thread" blog to see what you can do to help {even if it's just blogging about it}. or link here to erin's post on design for mankind.

shop local! buy handmade! save the thread!

  1. What a terrible tragedy -- it's wonderful that the blogging community can come together to support artisans and small businesses.
