etsy toys :: willowbaus

what a treat it was to find willowbaus on etsy! aren't these amazingly adorable? and this a local shop for me- the seller lives in portland, oregon. everything is made from earth-friendly, non-toxic materials- perfect for children. if i had kids, this would be the kind of ideal toy i would love to give them.

little sailboats and rowboats and bright colors, i love it!

new to shoppe :: repurposed fabric pouches

i've just added a few more items to the shoppe! these are zipper pouches made from repurposed interior design fabric samples. i got all of the fabric and all of the zippers from, of course, SCRAP. it's so fun volunteering there! i usually get to pick out the goodies i want before they hit the floor, so it's totally worth it for me.

{and if you're interested in volunteering at SCRAP, check out their website! it's fun, i promise!}
more new items in the shop tomorrow!

today's featured etsy shop is sadie olive, a collection of vintage treasures.
this shop has a little bit of everything that is antique and interesting...

old luggage and a doctor's case

vintage bingo cards and sheet music

old french clocks

pretty old books. {what is it about old books? love them!!}

baby dolls and flatware. {they both reminded me of my grandma :) }

as you can see, the photography is fabulous- lucky for us sadie olive's shop owner also has a photography shop called warm whispers- the photos have the same wonderful vintage charm. visit:

cookies and colors

dx and i went out for dinner last week and decided to stop for dessert afterwards. thankfully, we just happened to be right across the street from portland's most famous {and delicious} sweet shoppe, pix patisserie. as soon as i saw their amazing assortment of french macarons, i literally swooned {dx can vouch for that}- not so much for how tasty they might be, but the colors!! so i picked out the ones i thought were prettiest and made poor dx wait until i took photographs the next day before he could eat one. what a guy.
more photos soon!

etsy artist :: jennifer davis

today's featured etsy shop is that of minneapolis-based artist jennifer davis. the imagery in her paintings and collages are thoughtful and soft, and her color palette is muted and delicate with occasional bold expressions throughout. it's all quite lovely...

i love this one.

art lab

today's featured etsy shop is artlab. this is fashion at it's best- raw edges, ruffles, folded and twisted fabric- it really is wearable art. patricia ayres creates all of these gorgeous frocks and is inspired by industrial landscapes, abandoned spaces, and her dreams... i think i might have a little girl crush here. {swoony swoon}
